SAIBC REGIONALS 2024

 

The South African International Ballet Competition (SAIBC) is proud to announce our Regional Competition which will be hosted in Johannesburg, Durban, Polokwane, Bloemfontein, Mbombela and Gqeberha this coming April. The SAIBC Nationals was founded by Dirk Badenhorst in 2008. Today it is recognized as Africa’s finest and most established ballet event of its kind that attracts dancers of the highest caliber from across the globe.

This year the regional competition will have two age groups: ages 8 to 12 and 13 to 16, featuring both Classical Ballet and Contemporary categories and the recently introduced duets, trios and group categories. 

​

In each region dancers will be selected to take part in the 11th SAIBC Nationals at The Artscape Theatre, Cape Town 14-17 June 2024. Additionally overall winners in each region will be awarded a flight ticket and accommodation in Cape Town to compete at the 11th SAIBC Nationals.
